Christian Wright

Christian Wright is a Board Director and Advisor for CrossBoundary Energy with over 28 years developing, project financing, and operating power over 1GW of IPP projects across Africa, which have included the formation and running of a company, origination of opportunities, the negotiation of contracts with utilities and their governments, reviewing financial analysis, driving sector reform, negotiating EPC, operations & maintenance, and related contracts, arranging equity and debt from funds, commercial banks and development finance institutions, and supporting operations through strategy, communications and restructuring. Since 2023, he is operating in an advisory role supporting investors, DFIs, and companies across the African power space including off-grid, distributed energy, large-scale C&I, solar home systems, and IPPs.

Christian has held senior management roles at AES, Aldwych International (Anergi), Globeleq, Elsewedy Energy, and Blue International and is now Managing Director at Orion Infrastructure Advisors. He holds a Masters in International Relations from Cambridge University and a Bachelors in Economics and Politics from Mary Washington University.
