Tessa holds a Master of Social Science from the London School of Economics (UK) and a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University (USA) and was raised in South Africa. Before joining CrossBoundary, Tessa advised various African governments on renewable energy policy and off-grid market development with the Tony Blair Institute and the Africa Governance Initiative. More recently, Tessa led government partnerships and engagement at Bboxx, a next-generation utility operating across Africa. Tessa leads CrossBoundary Energy’s Regulatory Affairs team, based in Nairobi.
